I am a clinical psychologist based in Istanbul, working with individuals and couples in both Turkish and English.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Istanbul Bilgi University and my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Bahçeşehir University. I wrote my undergraduate thesis on “Mental Imagery,” and my master’s thesis on “Singlehood, Relationship Centrality, and Their Impact on Depression and Anxiety.” To further my research on autobiographical memory, I completed a second master’s degree in Cognitive Psychology at Boğaziçi University, and I continue to carry out my academic work in this field.

Throughout my training, I interned at various hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and psychotherapy clinics, gaining experience with diverse patient groups. I took part in group work with individuals with different developmental profiles, individuals diagnosed with autism, and patients with schizophrenia. I also worked with disadvantaged adults and children in collaboration with several non-governmental organizations. Following the Soma mining disaster, I volunteered at the psychosocial support center established in the region, where I conducted fieldwork and provided individual psychotherapy.

I have taken part in various academic projects and standardization studies. I conducted my own academic research throughout my bachelor’s and both master’s studies and worked with a wide range of research methods. I have worked with both adult and child populations and have facilitated focus group studies with children. I have presented my work at national and international conferences.

Throughout my academic and professional development, I have participated in trainings and seminars across different theoretical orientations. I have completed seminars on psychoanalysis and psychodrama, and attended the Rorschach and TAT trainings and theoretical seminars offered by the Rorschach and Projective Tests Association. In addition, I have received training in Experiential Play Therapy and the Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I have also completed specialized training on working with LGBTQ+ individuals. I volunteered at SPoD and coordinated the volunteer psychologist team (Psycho+) within the organization.

I am a member of the Turkish Psychological Association.

Since 2014, I have been working with adults, adolescents, and couples within a psychodynamic psychotherapy framework and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I provide psychotherapy in both Turkish and English, offering services in person and online.

My primary research interests include romantic relationships, close relationships, autobiographical memory, and related concepts within these fields.
